I Told You So!
Recently TNYF wrote an article ( This is not Tahrir Square: A view from Zuccotti Park, published 11/4/11) proclaiming that the protesters that occupy Zuccotti Park was doomed to failure because the protest itself was allowing just anyone that had anything to say voice it as part of the protest itself. This lack of cohesion was ultimately the unravelling that came as a police led eviction in the middle of the night on Monday. The protesters refused to select one voice and to monitor themselves, and as a result, became a danger in the eyes of the police and mayor. Too many people that did not have any business being there were entrenched within the protesters encampment and caused them nothing but trouble, while giving the authorities a reason to step in and protect them from themselves.
